Those who never left welcome back those who went abroad. Family and long time friends share together this precious moment in the mountains. Under the burning sun and to the sound of rippling laughter, summer suspends time but doesn’t heal all wounds. Pascal Tagnati's excellent first feature film shows a fictional Corsican village in summer. Born in Ajaccio, the director knows that in summer, Corsican expatriates return to spend time in their native village. Using still shots, sometimes long, sometimes raw, he offers scenes of village life in all its nuances: children running in the streets, teenagers laughing with their group of friends, couples taking advantage of solitary moments; they talk about everything, about nothing, about football, they party, they nap...
